"It was nice of the Doctor to give us this little holiday." Smiling softly, Amy cuddled in under Rory's arm.
He sipped at a flute of champagne, before nodding. "For once, he's managed to let us have some time together to just be alone." Setting his glass aside, Rory fiddled with the thick fleece blanket that enfolded them both. "No disasters, no danger, no interruptions; nothing."
"Nothing but us."
Satisfied that the blanket was properly settled to grant them both maximum warmth, Rory refilled both their glasses. "Right. I just hope the Doctor keeps his promise that he won't come barging in with some universe-shattering emergency. If he does, I swear, I'll drown him in a vat of champagne!"
