At the sight of the baking sheets that lined Monica's kitchen, Joey's eyes went wide as saucers. There were sugar cookie stars decorated to resemble Santa Claus, spritz cookies in varying shapes and colors covered in bright sprinkles, and delicate, flaky palmiers that were lightly dusted with powdered sugar.
"Ohh, yum," he groaned, snatching a plate from one of the shelves, and heaping it high with the treats. Though they were still piping hot to the touch, he shoveled one of the Santas into his mouth, chomping merrily.
Some time later...
Monica returned from her grocery run, and almost dropped her bags in shock. "What in the world is going on in here?!"
Joey lay sprawled on her couch, his face smeared with frosting in every Christmassy hue. Crumbs dusted his shirt.
As for the cookie sheets, nearly every one was bare of the contents that she'd spent such time meticulously baking and decorating.
She leaned over the couch, staring at its occupant. "Joey, you wouldn't happen to know what happened to all of the cookies, would you," she pointedly asked.
"I'm sorry, Mon," he moaned around his cookie-orgy stomachache, stuffed to the gills. "I just couldn't help myself."
